Connected Couples, a program designed to deepen friendship, and improve communication and conflict-resolution skills, is being offered to Island couples by Family Service PEI. Based on the Gottman Institute’s Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, this evidence-based workshop is backed by over forty years of extensive research. Programs are offered in-person across the island and online, using a pay-what-you-can model. Couples participate in guided learning with dedicated time to practice new skills and tools together privately in a comfortable and confidential environment. The skills and insights gained can be immediately applied to strengthen the relationship, helping couples feel more connected and confident as they navigate daily life together. The next workshop is on August 20–21 from 10 am–5 pm in Montague.
