The Celtic Performing Arts Centre at The College of Piping is ready to celebrate the season by playing host to several events.

Classic Movie Nights will be held on Thursdays through November and December. On November 28 see the original version of Miracle on 34th Street, December 5 watch a perennial favourite, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and on the final Classic Movie Night December 19 enjoy the original version of It’s a Wonderful Life.

Ledwell & Haines are back with their Christmas Special on November 29. Patrick will perform comedy along with slideshows that explore a range of helpful seasonal topics, while Mark shows off his musical talents, re-interpreting Christmas favourites on guitar, fiddle and piano. This show was nearly a sell out in 2018 and is a great choice for a fun evening out with co-workers for a seasonal party.

Gunning & Cormier Christmas on December 1 features two of the busiest solo musicians in the country, Dave Gunning and JP Cormier, who bring a one-of-a-kind show for the holiday season. Enjoy new and old song favourites.

December 6 has The Ellis Family Band Christmas returning to the stage. The show will include some of their original hits and a number of the family’s favourite Christmas songs. Don’t wait to get tickets, the show sold out last year.

Everyone’s favourite Elvis is bringing his Christmas with the King featuring Thane Dunn and The Cadillac Kings and guest Melly Dunn to the Centre December 7.

Get ready to “Climb Every Mountain” and think about your “Favourite Things” at the Sing-Along Sound of Music on December 12. Plan your costume and get ready for an evening of laughs as two “Sisters” lead you through the sing-along, the prop bag as well as the interactive moments throughout this classic film. Your ticket purchase includes a non-alcoholic beverage, a bag of popcorn and a prop bag. There will be a costume contest for the best costume(s).

Wrapping up the performances in a big bow, will be Celtic Christmas featuring Peter and Christine Gallant, their family along with instructors and students from The College of Piping on December 21. The Gallants will provide musical orchestrations to play on their own and also with pipers, drummers, fiddlers and dancers.
