The City of Charlottetown is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Heritage Awards. The awards celebration will take place on September 18. Presented annually, the Heritage Awards honour individuals, community groups and organizations that help preserve, uncover and celebrate Charlottetown’s rich heritage. Eligible nominations may include properties that have been carefully maintained or restored, publications or activities relating to the City’s history, or other efforts that have made a significant contribution to Charlottetown’s heritage.

Nomination requirements include: Nominee name and contact information, including full address, email, and phone number; a brief description explaining why the nominee should be considered for a Heritage Award; supporting materials, such as photos, articles, project descriptions, or other relevant documentation; and nominator contact information, including email and phone number. Government-owned properties are not eligible. Nominations will be accepted until August 12 at 4 pm.
