Debut author Kimberly Mooney has released The Recital, a brutally honest and hilarious memoir about divorce, single parenting, finding love again, and the struggles of maintaining a strong relationship while also trying to blend two families.
“This is the book I wish I had when I suddenly became a single mom,” Mooney says. “But this is the book I desperately needed when I became part of a blended family.”
The Recital is a raw, reflective memoir that brings the reader on an entertaining and musical journey of marriage, failed marriage, divorce, single parenting, second marriage, and finally, blended family. Mooney shares her mindset on how to forgive hurt to ensure a healthy two-houshold family. She takes you on her personal and emotional journey through a path to a more peaceful blended family—a journey more frustrating than she could have ever imagined. A journey she almost gave up on.
Mooney will be holding two book launches October 23 and 24 at Beaconsfield Carriage House, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.
