The Prince Edward Island Summer Bluegrass Festival returns to the Dundas Fairgrounds, Dundas, PEI from July 1–3, after having been cancelled for the past two years because of the pandemic. The Festival is presented for its 35th year by the PEI Bluegrass & Old Time Music Society.

Says Society President Shirley Jay, “We are so glad to be back. It has been a long wait since our 34th Festival in 2019, but here we are again bringing some of the best bluegrass groups in the United States and the Maritimes to the beautiful Dundas Fairgrounds. The Festival attracts an audience of bluegrass music lovers from the Maritime provinces, the rest of Canada and the United States. I am sure that they will be as glad to be back on PEI as we will be to have them here.”

Featured groups from the United States will be The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, the Dave Adkins Band and Fast Track. Maritime bands sharing the bill are The Spinney Brothers (Nova Scotia), Matt Lunn & Echo Mountain (Nova Scotia), Eddy Poirier & Grassline (New Brunswick) and Monroe (New Brunswick). The PEI bluegrass scene will be represented by Janet McGarry & Wildwood, Blue Zone, Bluegrass Revival, Heartfelt, Just Grass, SK Bluegrass and The Stiff Family.

The PEI Bluegrass & Old Time Music Festival is supported by The Government of PEI and The Government of Canada Heritage. For tickets and information visit or phone 566-2641.
