As They Are

As They Are is a graphic memoir by Adam Florian, recounting Adam’s experiences with Crohn’s disease and the trials he and his wife had gone through with infertility.

Deirdre Kessler, former Poet Laureate of Prince Edward Island and author of the recent novel, Darwin’s Hornpipe, says “Adam Florian’s graphic memoir is a brilliant work, from the first ominous drawing of the exterior of a hospital’s emergency room to the last scene of its unexpected (and welcome) happy ending. Florian was a recipient of a PEI Artist Grant for this project through Innovation PEI.
