The Macphail Homestead is hosting an art exhibition featuring the work of about twenty local artists from August 5–30. The exhibition theme is “Art Reflecting Macphail’s Prince Edward Island Home.”

A plein air event will take place August 8 beginning at 9 am. Painters are encouraged to paint on the Macphail property. 

An opening reception will also be held on August 8 at 1 pm. Artists and the public are invited to attend, meet the artists, and browse their work. Refreshments will be provided.

Sir Andrew Macphail was a teacher, doctor, experimental farmer, published author, and editor who loved his PEI home. His interest in Island flora, fauna, landscape, heritage, fishing, and agriculture is reflected in the artwork.
