
Internationally acclaimed fiddler Richard Wood is back for his 16th season at the historic Sterling Women’s Institute Hall in Stanley Bridge. The Richard Wood: An Evening of Celtic Music concert series runs at 7:30 pm on Saturdays in August, and at 4:30 pm on September 5 and 19.
Known for his electrifying performances and deep roots in Island music, Wood delivers an authentic Prince Edward Island Celtic music experience filled with high-energy, memorable tunes and world-class musicianship.
Joining him throughout the series are longtime bandmates Kimberley Holmes, Brent Chaisson, Skip Holmes, and Ward MacDonald, along with step dancer Isla Rousseaux-Bridle.
Strawberries and ice cream are available for purchase, and there will be a 50/50 draw.
The air-conditioned hall is located at 4897 St. Mary’s Road, Stanley Bridge. Advance tickets are available online at rwood.ca, or tickets can be purchased at the door, which opens 30 minutes before showtime.
