PEI Quilt Hang Out Day 2026

Inspired by the Community Quilt Hang Out Day on Fogo Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI will once again celebrate its love of quilts by displaying them across the Island on August 1 (rain date August 2). Everyone is invited to share the joy of quilting by hanging quilts on a clothesline, deck, porch, window, business, lighthouse (with permission), or any other creative location. Quilts may be personal creations, gifts, family heirlooms, purchased quilts, or treasured vintage finds. A map of where the quilt displays can be found during PEI Quilt Hang Out Day is being created in response to public interest. Those wishing to have their display included can submit their location—either a community name or street name only (no names or other identifying information required)—using the contact information below. Sharing a location is entirely voluntary and not required to participate.
