Richard Wood: An Evening of Celtic Music returns to Stanley Bridge on Saturdays for its 16th season.

This summer, internationally acclaimed fiddler Richard Wood returns for his 16th year on stage at the historic Sterling Women’s Institute Hall in Stanley Bridge. This high-energy concert series takes place Saturday evenings in July and August at 7:30 pm and for two early evenings on September 5 and 19 at 4:30 pm.

Known for his electrifying performances and deep roots in Island music, Richard Wood delivers an authentic Prince Edward Island Celtic music experience filled with high-energy, memorable tunes and world-class musicianship.

Joining him throughout the series are longtime bandmates Kimberley Holmes, Brent Chaisson, Skip Holmes, Ward MacDonald, and award-winning step dancer, Isla Rousseaux-Bridle. There will be a 50/50 draw and strawberries and ice cream for purchase. Cash, credit/debit, and e-transfer accepted.

With decades of accolades and performances around the globe, including appearances for royalty and international dignitaries, Richard continues to captivate audiences with his fiery fiddle playing and boundless stage energy. This intimate hall concert offers fans an up-close musical experience with one of Canada’s most dynamic fiddlers.
