Charlottetown Summer BioBlitz Kick-off
The Charlottetown Summer BioBlitz runs from July 15 to August 15, inviting residents to use the free iNaturalist app to record and upload nature observations. These observations contribute to local biodiversity research and a global database of species observations. As part of the month-long campaign, the City of Charlottetown is hosting five free, family-friendly events where participants will learn how to use iNaturalist, discover how observation data supports local ecosystems, and take a guided nature walk to document as many species as possible.
Walks will take place at the Malcolm J. Darrach Community Centre on July 16 at 6:30 pm, the East Royalty Community Centre on July 18 at 10 am, the West Royalty Community Centre on July 28 at 6:30 pm, Beach Grove Nature Trails on August 5 at 6:30 pm, and Victoria Park on August 15 at 10 am.
