Amabile Singers: Bide With Us

“Bide with us, for evening shadows darken.” So begins an invitation by Josef Rheinberger in “Abendlied.” 

Amabile Singers present Bide with Us, directed by Clement Carelse and featuring collaborative pianist Sara White, at Spring Park United in Charlottetown on June 5 at 7:30 pm. 

The singers have gathered their favourite choral selections to share, with a program featuring composers Lauridsen, Brahms, and Fauré; poets Robert Frost and L. M. Montgomery; and folk songs “Shenandoah,” “Feller From Fortune,” and more. 

Late in the program, Guest Conductor Carl Mathis takes the baton. Countless Islanders have had the privilege of singing under Carl’s direction, many as members of Coro Dolce, PEI’s long-running “summer choir,” founded and directed by Carl.

Admission is by a suggested price with a pay-what-you-can option.
