
Stan Rogers: A Matter of Heart
Stan Rogers: A Matter of Heart returns to the Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown this summer with performances on select dates from July 4–August 1.
This theatrical celebration of the musical legacy of legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Stan Rogers features crowd favourites including the rousing “Barrett’s Privateers” and “Northwest Passage,” as well as heartfelt songs such as “Forty-Five Years” and “White Squall.”
Rogers’ vivid storytelling of Canada’s people and places continues to inspire and entertain audiences around the world.
The cast of this summer’s production includes Stan’s daughter Beth Rogers and James Medeiros, both returning from the 2024 cast, alongside Island performers Rebekah Brown and Ryan Whitty. Musical direction is by Don Fraser, with vocal direction by James Medeiros. Originally conceived and created by Diane Stapley and Vince Metcalf, the script was written by Jim Betts, with musical arrangements by Bob Ashley and Paul Mills.
