Festival Route 11

Three day trad-folk celebration returns to Union Corner

Cajun Country Revival

Festival Route 11 returns for its sixth edition July 31–August 2 at Union Corner Provincial Park. The trad-folk festival celebrates music, culinary arts, and visual arts, all in the heart of PEI’s stunning Evangeline region.

Festival-goers are sure to be wowed by the lineup of world-class musicians. The Main Stage will welcome some familiar faces, including Cajun singer-songwriter Jourdan Thibodeaux, last seen at the festival in 2024. Québécois rabble-rousers Jean-François Berthiaume and Louis-Simon Lemieux return to fire up the Friday night square dance. Their performance at the Mack in Charlottetown in February 2026 brought the entire room to its feet, with audience members moving back chairs and tables in favour of more dance space. Making their Festival Route 11 debut are PEI’s own Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys, known for their high-energy performances and Gordie’s “Crazy Legs.”

Main Stage newcomers include Nova Scotian sound sculpturists Champagne Weather and Julie Aubé, a New Brunswick folk artist best known as a member of the indie group Les Hay Babies. Capping off Saturday night’s concert is Cajun Country Revival, featuring elite Cajun musicians and led by legendary accordionist Jesse Lége. Rounding out the festival lineup are Route 11 family members Vishtèn and Maukin, whose music is integral to the festival experience and whose members are also key to its success through their advocacy and involvement.

Last year’s attendees will be pleased to see the return of the roaming cinq à sept–style dinner, where patrons visit four different stations, each with its own culinary offering. Festival favourite Family Day returns August 1, with free, all-ages programming from 11 am–5 pm, including Shane Pendergast’s ’60s coffeehouse-inspired Jack Pine Folk Club under the stretch tent. Finally, the festival grounds at Union Corner Park will once more be transformed by artists Patrick Brunet and Kelly Caseley, with their large-scale, impactful art installations that lend the whimsy and magic that complete the Festival Route 11 experience.
