Jazz in the Cathedral: Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble

St. Peter’s Cathedral in Charlottetown presents three musical events in May. 

Jazz in the Cathedral on May 8 at 7 pm will feature the Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble. Admission is by donation at the door, with proceeds going toward their scholarship fund.

The Ascension Day High Latin Mass takes place on May 14 at 7 pm. The majority of this service will be spoken and sung in Latin, and will feature the Cathedral Choir, with soloists and a small orchestra.

On May 28, the Choir of Sewanee College, Tennessee, will perform. This 40-member university choir is touring the Maritime region and making a stop in Charlottetown. They will sing at the 5 pm Cathedral-style Evensong in the main church and perform a free choral recital that same evening at 7 pm.

All are welcome to attend these events at St. Peter’s Cathedral, located on Rochford Street in Charlottetown.
