Park Royal United in Charlottetown presents a free community concert featuring the traditional ensemble Dahlia Ave. on May 2 at 6:30 pm.
Hailing from New Brunswick, Dahlia Ave. is a four-piece group known for their spirited blend of Old Time, Celtic, and Acadian music. Their performances capture the heart of a classic East Coast kitchen party, combining lively fiddle tunes, piano accompaniment, and energetic step dancing.
The ensemble features pianist Machaela Osowski, alongside fiddlers Martha Pitre, Amélie de Arcos, and Janelle Melanson. The group’s members bring a depth of experience, having toured extensively across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Australia. As fiddlers, they have also been invited multiple times to compete at the prestigious Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition, occasionally earning finalist placements.
Audiences can expect an evening filled with rich musical traditions and high-energy performances.
