Lettice and Lovage

Seaside Theatre presents Lettice and Lovage, Peter Shaffer’s riotous comedy, at the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre in Summerside. Performances run May 28–30 at 7:30 pm, with a matinee on May 30 at 2 pm.

In this long-running West End play, audiences meet two characters who are, at first, polar opposites: Lettice Douffet, a flamboyant tour guide not above embellishing her tours with “interesting” facts, and her boss, the staid Lotte Schoen, who believes facts are facts—no matter how boring. The two nevertheless form an unlikely friendship over a shared disdain for bland modern society, and together plot against it, with unintended results.
