Island Playwrights’ Cabaret

The PEI Chapter of the Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre (PARC) presents their annual Island Playwrights’ Cabaret at The Arts Guild in Charlottetown on April 17 at 6:30 pm. 

Presented alongside readings by local playwrights from the Fresh From the Island Playwriting Workshops in partnership with Young at Heart Theatre and PARC, the Cabaret is designed to showcase, develop, and celebrate new, in-progress works by playwrights on Prince Edward Island.

Jay Gallant, Kris Williams, and JJ Steinfeld will read excerpts of their own work, and members of the BCS of PEI will share excerpts of new works from a playwriting workshop with PARC Artistic Director Santiago Guzmán, followed by a reading of Afterbirth by Candace Hagen. 

All are welcome. Admission is by donation. A silent auction will feature tickets to the Charlottetown Festival, The Arts Guild, Watermark Theatre and Victoria Playhouse.
