
Holocaust Memorial Day
The PEI Jewish Community invites the public to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day in the auditorium at the Charlottetown Library on April 12 at 1:30 pm.
The event will include the lighting of memorial candles, reading of the names of Holocaust victims, and two minutes of silence. Keynote speakers are Ilana Clyde, an Israeli-born former dancer with the Bat-Dore Dance Company, who will speak about performing in Polish cities after the War, and retired UPEI professor Henry Srebrnik, who will present “Lessons from the Holocaust for Today.”
