PEI Climate Challenge Fund Info Session

Islanders with innovative ideas to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to climate change, and strengthen community resilience can now apply for support through the PEI Climate Challenge Fund. The fund provides financial support for projects that help communities, businesses, First Nations, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations take action on climate change. Priority areas for this year’s intake are developing and implementing proactive adaptation strategies for PEI municipalities, improving water conservation and ensuring access to clean drinking water during extreme weather or climate emergencies, strengthening community assets, supporting climate adaptation in sensitive industries, and conducting emissions or energy analyses for communities and businesses. Applications are being accepted until December 4. Projects must begin in 2026 and be completed by September 30, 2027.

An in-person information session will be held on November 12 from 5:30–6:30 pm in the Rotary Auditorium at the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre.
