AGE-WELL’s 8th Annual Summer Institute Pitch Competition

AGE-WELL, Canada’s Technology and Aging Network (agewell-nce.ca), is hosting its 8th Summer Institute, entitled “Co-Creating Possibilities: Supportive Homes & Communities,” in Room 242 of the Alex H. MacKinnon Auditorium in Don and Marion McDougall Hall at UPEI on July 11 at 11 am. Everyone is invited to join in the audience to meet the future leaders in AgeTech.

The Summer Institute is an intensive, one week project-based learning experience. Participants worked directly with researchers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, Veterans, and representatives from Veterans Affairs Canada to co-create innovative solutions – technologies, policies, and services – that will empower older adults to age with independence and dignity at home.

Teams will pitch their innovative AgeTech solutions to address three VAC priority areas; solutions will enable aging in place, support caregivers, and decrease social isolation. The winning team will be awarded a cash prize and additional in-kind support to continue developing the solution.

Everyone is invited to join in the audience to meet the future leaders in AgeTech.
