Transplants and Blooms: A PEITN Trans+ Gardening Club

Transplants and Blooms is a project in collective tending, growing, and community-building based in Epekwitk by and for 2S/TNBGD Islanders. Two Spirit, Transgender, Non-binary, and Gender diverse gardeners and their support people of all ages and any skill and knowledge level are welcome to join weekly club sessions in the Legacy Gardens behind the Farm Centre in Charlottetown on Sunday mornings from 10 am–12 pm.

Club activities include workshops on gardening, climate, and community building. Gardeners work on a shared plot (105 and 106 in Legacy Gardens) and learn about a different garden-related topic while incorporating hands-on learning. Participants are encouraged to dress for weather conditions as meetings are outdoors. Some sessions may be weather permitting.
