The Atlantic Presenters Association (APA) has announced the lineup of acts who will take part in its flagship event, Contact East, taking place September 26 to 29 in Charlottetown.

The event’s 44th edition will present a diverse range of international artists—from music to dance and theatrical productions and beyond. This is a showcase event where a limited number of tickets for these performances are available to the general public.

Says Angela Campbell, Executive Director of the Imperial Theatre and current APA President, “We challenge ourselves from year to year to bring the best to Contact East and looking at this wide ranging list, I think we have done it again in 2019.  We look forward to helping these artists build their profiles in Atlantic Canada while providing top tier live programming for large and small venues and festivals throughout the region.”

Contact East will welcome the following artists to Charlottetown: Vishtèn, Laila Biali, Andrew Waite, Melody Johnson, Nive & the Deer Children, Shaun Boothe, Big Little Lions, West of Mabou, Geri Hall & Gary Pearson, Papagroove, Theatre New Brunswick, Ripopee (L’ Aubergine), Sarah Hagen & Brendan MacLeod, Countermeasure, La Terza Classe, Emily Jean Flack, Jacques Surette, Fara, Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch (Axis Theatre), Ryan McMahon, Dr. G, Kim Harris, Charlie A’Court & Witchitaw, Twin Flames, The Myrtle Sisters, Raine Hamilton and Calum Graham.
